8-Week Mindfulness Live Online Program

Mindfulness provides you with techniques that enable you to exercise control over how you experience life, enabling you to live your life with skill, confidence and less stress.

What is the 8-Week Mindfulness Program?

The 8-Week Mindfulness Program is based on mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) that grew out of the groundbreaking mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School's Center of Mindfulness in the 1970's.

This program uses a combination of mindfulness meditation, body awareness and mindful movement to explore behavior, thinking, feeling and action. It assists with a range of conditions and life issues that range from physical pain to burnout. These practices can work for anyone who struggles with the constant demands of the modern world.

Course Description

What is the course structure and commitment?

Each of the 8 weeks focuses on a particular theme that builds on the prior session:

      • Week 1: Start to learn to stabilize the mind and see the control you can gain when you focus your attention on what you're actually experiencing in the moment.
      • Week 2: Become aware of the power of your body as your own person internal guidance system.
      • Week 3: Explore the mind/body connection and learn how to read the body’s “early warning stress signals,” so you can manage situations before they become a problem.
      • Week 4: Develop skills that enable you to look at difficult thoughts and feelings in a way that supports your being more relaxed.
      • Week 5: Bring awareness to difficult situations, explore ways that enable you respond in a way that supports your gaining control over stress.
      • Week 6: Cultivate the ability to celebrate your personal power and confidence as you get more in control of your life.
      • Week 7: Explore lifestyle choices that are adaptive and self-nourishing.
      • Week 8: Weave mindfulness in your daily life, so you can maintain the momentum developed during the course.

Because you will be working from home during the program you will be consciously and systematically working with the challenges and demands of your everyday life. And I will create a safe and supportive environment for this work and learning through:

      • Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices
      • Gentle stretching and mindful movement
      • Group dialogue and discussions aimed at enhancing awareness in everyday life
      • Systematic instruction in both formal MBSR and MBCT meditation practices
      • Opportunities to check in with me
      • Online resource materials and video conferencing

You must be willing to make a strong commitment to attend all classes and to practice daily home assignments for eight weeks. If you are unable to attend your regularly scheduled class or anticipate missing two or more class sessions, we encourage you to considering registering for another term.

Meet Pamela J. Alexander


I'm a teacher and a practitioner, so I'll be there with you every step of the journey sharing simple, yet powerful evidence-based mindfulness practices and techniques that you can use right now to change your life for the better.

I lead mindfulness-based stress reduction courses and programs leveraging best practices in mindfulness-based interventions (MBI's) and experiential learning for adults, creating the optimal conditions for success successfully reducing stress, and enhancing wellbeing through the development of mindfulness meditation skills.

I received my bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and received my Mindfulness-Based Stress Reductions Teacher’s credentials from University of Massachusetts Medical School’s Center for Mindfulness in collaboration with the Brown University School of Public Health.

About this course

Our 8-Week Mindfulness Live Online Program specifically addresses the needs of those  in the European Time who are interested in taking the Mindfulness 8-Week Program with others, but are unable to physically attend an in-person program.

The entire course is delivered live through Zoom video conferencing. Rather than meeting in-person, participants engage with the teacher and interact with one another through their computer during class time as well as for home assignments and practice.

Most Belgian health insurances cover part of cost of this mindfulness course. Please contact your health insurance for details.
